I cannot believe how much fun it was to photograph Duncan and Sarah's wedding at the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh. To say everyone thoroughly enjoyed it would be an understatement - in fact, I don't think there was a picture I took on the day that didn't catch them laughing. Such a lovely couple with so much energy that my own face ached by the end of the day from smiling so much! Coupled with a stunning Autumn back drop from all the exotic plants, it was one of my all time favourite days behind the lens. If laughter is the key to happiness, I'd say Duncan and Sarah will have it in abundance for the rest of their married lives. Congratulations again guys, its been great to have captured so many happy moments in your lives.
Client view coming soon.
Where to begin with Michael and Nicola's beautiful wedding? It was a dream day from start to finish and I loved covering every minute of it! The couple chose a Batman theme - and the detail was amazing! Even the flowers were made from Batman comics! Their chosen venue, Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh, was as fun and quirky as they were and suited them perfectly.
I have to say it is up there with the best weddings I have covered - Michael and Nicola, thank you so much for asking me to photograph your wedding, it was an absolute honour!

Congratulations once again to Neil and Jackie who tied the knot at the beautiful Shieldhill Castle near Biggar in the Scottish Borders.
Their day was full of warmth, laughter and happiness. The couple exchanged their vows in front of friends and family who had travelled far and wide to be with them on their special day.
Neil and Jackie, thanks for asking me to photograph your wonderful day - It was such an honour to capture it for you! X
Congratulations to a wonderful couple, who shared their special day with me earlier this month. Their wedding was beautiful. Held at Eddleston Church with celebrations continuing at Barony Castle. They looked so happy together as they posed for a few quick photos on the steps of the church - it's easy to see why I was witness to a few happy tears being shed as they exchanged their vows!
Thank you so much for asking me to cover your special day. It was truly an honour and a priviledge!
The Peeblesshire wrote a lovely piece - which you can read here.
What an amazing wedding! Congratulations again to Steven and Danni! Their day was perfect - gorgeous blue skies, glorious sunshine and a relaxed setting on the beautiful island of Malta.
Steven looked very smart in his summery blue suit and Danni was stunning in a show-stopping, elegent dress.
There were smiles all round and I had a wonderful time capturing their special day for them!
Thanks again, Danni and Steven, for asking me along to photograph your day! X
Congratulations to Dan and Laura - a wonderful couple who tied the knot at the gorgeous Curradine Barns, Shrawley.
Their wedding was truly beautiful, with bright flowers and colourful touches - and not to mention, fast cars! Laura looked absolutely stunning in her Lusan Mandongus dress and Dan certainly made a perfect match, looking very dapper in his smart blue Ted Baker suit.
It was such a happy and chilled out occasion for all parties involved - and the sun even shined as we made our way outside for the photos.
Dan and Laura, I wish you every happiness in marriage! Congratulations, once again and thank you so much for asking me to be your wedding photographer! X
Well, where can I begin with Joe and Rosie's beautiful wedding? From a love that blossomed over a game of tennis to a wonderful 'at home' wedding, Joe and Rosie really do have that special something. The stolen glances, the tender touches - their love for each other is clear to see and if there was ever any two people made for one another, it's these two.
I loved covering every moment of their wedding. They were so natural in front of the camera and both were up for a giggle, which made for some really unique and quirky photos.
Their wedding was truly unique and personal, with some lovely touches, such as a homemade cake, which has to be one of the most impressive I've seen! Duncan Robertson performed a wonderful Humanist ceremony in front of Rosie and Joe's friends and family, which was followed by a 'selfie' style photo, a confetti tunnel and then a drive around the grounds of their home in a beautiful Bentley.
Rosie wore an amazing Enzoni dress from Border Brides, her hair was by William Pearson (R&R Hair), Beauty Secrets in Hawick did her makeup and her gorgeous bouquet was by Flower Expressions in Selkirk.
Congratulations to you both, once again. You really are a super couple!
Congratulations to Matt and Lucy, who tied the knot at Cringletie House in the Scottish Borders! The couple wed in complete secret and in front of their two beautiful girls, who then sprung their own surprise with a heartfelt poem for their mum and dad.
The day was perfect - an amazing location with gorgeous weather to boot! Set in beautiful wooded surroundings, The Cringletie provided a stunning backdrop for Matt and Lucy's big day.
Thanks again for having me along to photograph your special day - I was delighted to be a part of it!

Congratulations to Phil and Liz who have set their date to be married! The couple recently made a move to Cheshire, where they proudly showed me around one of their local woodlands. Filled with ancient trees, the woodland is a very special place to Phil and Liz who spend many a happy Sunday taking walks underneath the beautiful canopies.
Last Saturday saw Calum and Layla make their promises in front of family and friends in a very romantic Merchant's Hall, Edinburgh. They had a beautiful Humanist ceremony with celebrant Jackie Grant. The setting was absolutely perfect for their big day, with a big domed roof, huge windows and ornate fireplaces - we even managed to make it out between the odd shower for a couple of photos on Rose Street.
Once again, huge congratulations to a lovely couple - and thank you so much for having me along to photograph your special day!
Layla and her bridesmaids had their hair and makeup done by Janice Dawson, JD Bridal Hair. The flowers, a gorgeous pastel bouquet, by Flowers by McDowell's and Layla's stunning dress was from Pretty Woman, Meadowbank.

It was the start of the wedding season for me last week - and what better way to start it than with a surprise wedding!!
May 1st was a special day in so many ways - it was wee Angus' Naming Day! I photographed Angus as a newborn and it was so lovely to see him all grown up with his friends and family around to witness his day. Not only that, but his mum and dad sprang a big surprise on everyone by tying the knot too!! The celebrations were held at Ochiltrees, in the grounds of Abbotsford House, Melrose.
It was a day full of emotion and I am proud to have been a part of it to capture it for the family. The day was truly all about each and every one of them. Perfect attention to details with lego-men button holes, matching shades and fantastic Converse trainers. There was lots of love, laughter and happiness. A perfect day - congratulations once again to everyone and thank you so much for having me along!

Wow!! What a wedding this was! I am so honoured to have been a part of it!
Two lovely ladies, Estella and Pauline, each celebrating their 60th Birthday - which all of their guests believed they were celebrating too. Little did they know that Estella and Pauline had planned a surprise wedding! The news was broken shortly after we assembled friends and family for what they thought was a group shot. I loved watching and photographing everybody's reactions!
The ceremony commenced shortly afterwards and was so lovely and heartfelt. I must admit I had to wipe away the odd tear :)
Thank you so much Estella and Pauline for asking me to be a part of your special day. It was definitely a celebration that will stay with me for a long time!

Well, what can I say about this wedding?! Sometimes you have a day where everything goes just perfectly - and that was very much how it was for Craig and Sarah's big day. The flowers were beautiful, the wedding car (well, campervan!) was just awesome, the bride was stunning, the groom handsome and all of the guests were full of smiles and laughter. And, for what started as a grey and rainy day, broke to glorious sunshine when it mattered.
Congratulations once again to you both - and thank you so much for asking me along to photograph your special day. It really was fantastic!
Here is a slideshow of some of my favourite images of the day. Please view in HD. For client view, click.
Congratulations once again to Dave and Julie who tied the knot at The Capital Hotel, Costorphine, Edinburgh. The day was full of laughter, tears and joy. The bride was radiant, sporting a beaming smile from start to finish and the groom couldn't have look happier as the vows were exchanged in a lovely humanist ceremony. The weather may have thrown it's worst at us, but that didn't hold us back from capturing some perfect moments, which I am sure will be cherished for years to come.
Dave and Julie, it was a pleasure to be chosen as your wedding photographer and share in your special day. I wish you many happy years together!
