Well, the weather is turning cold...so what better way to spend a weekend than two newborn sessions in a cosy and warm studio!
I was honoured with photographing two baby girls last Saturday - each the same age of five weeks.

Some shoots just make me smile...not just as I am shooting, but right the way through the edit, too. This was one of those shoots - each picture struck a cord with me not just as a photographer but as a parent also. Two absolutely adorable children, with a great connection between them. Their bond was so plain to see and it was a priviledge for me to capture. I had a brilliant time photographing this adorably funny little brother and his cheeky and attentive big sister - and at such an important time of year too as each sibling was born during the autumn.

This was a terrific Autumn photoshoot with two lively little boys, who definitely kept me on my toes!! An energetic shoot was finished with a brilliant rendition of Row, Row, Row Your Boat in front a a beautiful sunlit tree in Haylodge Park. What fun!
I love this time of year - great clours, lovely light and this shoot topped it off nicely with the cutest little girl ever!

What an amazing wedding! Congratulations again to Steven and Danni! Their day was perfect - gorgeous blue skies, glorious sunshine and a relaxed setting on the beautiful island of Malta.
Steven looked very smart in his summery blue suit and Danni was stunning in a show-stopping, elegent dress.
There were smiles all round and I had a wonderful time capturing their special day for them!
Thanks again, Danni and Steven, for asking me along to photograph your day! X
I had a great family session at the weekend - I photographed this little girl on her first birthday, so it was lovely to welcome her back. This time with her grandparents who got in on the action too!
I had a wonderful birthday photoshoot with a lovely lady and her two boys at the weekend. I loved capturing the three of them together, such a perfect bond.
I love newborn shoots - especially capturing serene little moments like this between mother and daughter. Bliss...
Loved, loved, LOVED this shoot!! Such happy little ladies and a wonderful family to photograph - every photographers' dream. Plus, not only did we have perfect weather, but everyone came dressed in sunny, bright colours that made for such a fun shoot!
Congratulations to Dan and Laura - a wonderful couple who tied the knot at the gorgeous Curradine Barns, Shrawley.
Their wedding was truly beautiful, with bright flowers and colourful touches - and not to mention, fast cars! Laura looked absolutely stunning in her Lusan Mandongus dress and Dan certainly made a perfect match, looking very dapper in his smart blue Ted Baker suit.
It was such a happy and chilled out occasion for all parties involved - and the sun even shined as we made our way outside for the photos.
Dan and Laura, I wish you every happiness in marriage! Congratulations, once again and thank you so much for asking me to be your wedding photographer! X
I met a very interesting lady on Sunday for a commercial shoot. Not only does Catherine work as an Interfaith Minister, who trained with One Spirit Interfaith Foundation, but she also teaches dance, using the elements as her inspiration. The weather wasn't at it's best for us on Sunday - at least the sun didn't shine and the rain came down. However, it didn't phase Catherine at all and we had a great time bouncing ideas around to get some fun, fresh shots for her new website. Check out more of what Catherine does - and look out for her updated website coming soon! http://catherinewright.co.uk/
The weather wasn't 100% kind to us at the weekend, but that didn't stop us having a grand old time splashing in the burn before getting some fun family pictures as the weather cleared!! This was a great little shoot - Grace was a photographer's dream - so smiley, happy and up for a giggle!
The last time I met these two gorgeous girls, they both fit very snuggly into a wicker basket for their photo-shoot. It was great to catch up with them again for another photo-shoot. Both are blossoming into such great little characters, that certainly kept me on my toes during the shoot!!
Well, where can I begin with Joe and Rosie's beautiful wedding? From a love that blossomed over a game of tennis to a wonderful 'at home' wedding, Joe and Rosie really do have that special something. The stolen glances, the tender touches - their love for each other is clear to see and if there was ever any two people made for one another, it's these two.
I loved covering every moment of their wedding. They were so natural in front of the camera and both were up for a giggle, which made for some really unique and quirky photos.
Their wedding was truly unique and personal, with some lovely touches, such as a homemade cake, which has to be one of the most impressive I've seen! Duncan Robertson performed a wonderful Humanist ceremony in front of Rosie and Joe's friends and family, which was followed by a 'selfie' style photo, a confetti tunnel and then a drive around the grounds of their home in a beautiful Bentley.
Rosie wore an amazing Enzoni dress from Border Brides, her hair was by William Pearson (R&R Hair), Beauty Secrets in Hawick did her makeup and her gorgeous bouquet was by Flower Expressions in Selkirk.
Congratulations to you both, once again. You really are a super couple!
Sibling photosessions are one of my favourite. There's nothing quite like that bond that forms between them and to watch is grow is something quite special. There was no mistaking the pride that this little girl felt for her little baby sister. It was beautiful - and I am so happy to have captured it for mum and dad.
I was pleased to welcome back to the studio a totally adorable little baby boy! Dad is into motorbikes, and I was determined to capture a shot that brought father and son together in one shot!
I had a great time photographing a family reunion at the Cuddy Bridge in Innerleithen at the weekend. Family members from all corners of the globe came together for a break in Scotland, before heading back overseas. I always enjoy being part of such gatherings - it is an honour to capture precious moments; cousins playing, siblings having a giggle and grandparents with those adoring glimpses at their grandchildren.
Congratulations to Mikey & Claire, who wed at The Caves in Edinburgh on Saturday! An impressive and unique venue, in the heart of a bustling Edinburgh city centre. The day was full of happy moments with an incredibly beautiful bride and handsome groom. The couple had a lovely humanist ceremony, performed by Stewart Allan, which was touching, humorous and sincere. After the ceremony we were lucky to have some wonderful, sunny weather enabling us to take a trip up Edinburgh High Street for a few of our photos....and Mikey & Claire certainly turned a few heads!
Claire wore a beautiful Justin Alexander dress from Pretty Woman in Edinburgh, her flowers were by The Blooming Lot and make-up was by Megan Richards.
Many thanks to Ecosse Cars in Midlothian who supplied the couple with a fab camper van, which was fantastic for so many photographs!
I had a wonderful family reunion to photograph this week. Members of one family stretched across the globe came together for a happy family occasion and I was honoured to be able to capture some happy memories.
Many thanks for asking me along - I hope you all had an amazing time together.
I love capturing these precious moments between siblings....Images like this are such treasures.
